Chow Mein with Sweet and Sour Sauce
Equipment
- frying pan-2
Ingredients
- 250 gram Chinees style chow mein
- 1 small can of lychee
- 3 tbsp sunflower oil
- 2 leeks (chopped)
- 2 carrots (chopped)
- 1 bell pepper (chopped) any colour
- some shanghai bok choy (chopped)
- some mushrooms
- 1 small onion (chopped)
- 1 clove of garlic (crushed)
- 150 gram beansprouts
- 200 ml sweet and sour stir fry sauce
- 250 gram chicken or pork (pieces)
Instructions
- Boil water in large pot. Add the noodles and cook uncovered for 2-3 minutes. Drain.
- Drain the lychees
- In the mean time chopped all the vegetables and meat.
- Heat 3 tbsp of sunflower oil and start frying the onion then add the chicken or pork and fry for 3 minutes. Add all the other vegetables and garlic and fry for another couple minutes. Add the sauce and lychees and heat trough. Stir occasionally.
- In a frying pan heat 2 tbsp of sunflower oil, stir in the noodles and add 1½ tbsp of soya sauce. Mix well and stir fry for 2 minutes. Add the vegetable mixture from the other frying pan and mix everything together. Done!
