Apple Turnover
Equipment
- Baking sheet, Oven, Parchment paper
Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1 big apple or 2 small ones
- 4 pastry squares
- ⅓ cup raisins
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tsp sugar
- 2 tsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Thaw the pastry and make 4 even squares. Preheat oven to 350 F / 175 C
- Cut the apple in small pieces and mix with the cinnamon, sugar and raisins. Add the lemon juice. ( save a little bit of sugar to sprinkle over the turnovers before they go into the oven.)
- Divide the mix over the 4 squares. Brush the edges and fold in a triangle. Press the dough edges together with a fork.
- Brush the 4 turnovers with the egg and sprinkle some sugar on top. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Serve lukewarm with ice cream or with a good cup of tea!
