Meatballs with Peach
Ingredients
- 500 gram extra lean ground beef
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup panko or breadcrumbs
- 5 cloves of garlic (minced)
- salt to taste
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper
- ½ tsp cumin
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- ¼ tsp clove powder
- 1 tbsp soya sauce
- small can of peach slices
- 50 gram butter
- ¾ cup beef broth
- potato flour
Instructions
- Mix the ground beef with the egg ,panko or breadcrumbs, garlic, salt, cayenne pepper, nutmeg, clove powder, cumin and soya sauce. Make 8 medium size meatballs. Drain the peach but save the juice. You will need ¼ cup of the juice.
- Fry the meatballs in the butter till they are browned. Add the peach and let simmer for a couple minutes. Add the beef broth and the peach juice and let simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Thicken the sauce with some prepared potato flour. (optional)
- Serve with rice, veggies or a salad!

A nice way to change up meatballs! Cant wait to try this. The peaches sound yummy, and they are a favourite of my husband, so I’m sure this dish will be a hit!
