Slow Cooker Blade Roast
Equipment
- slow cooker
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 pounds blade roast
- 2 onions
- 4 gloves of garlic (smashed)
- 4 large carrots (cut into 2 inch pieces)
- 2 celery stalks (cut into 1 inch pieces)
- 1 leek (cut into 2 inch pieces)
- 1 cup beef broth
- ΒΌ cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tbsp dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 2 tsp crushed bouillon
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season roast with salt and pepper and sear on all sides until browned. Transfer roast to slow cooker.
- Add all remaining ingredients and cook on low 8 hours.
- You can add 2 tbsp of flour for a thicker gravy. (Optional)
