Mashed Potatoes with Rutabaga
Equipment
- Masher
Ingredients
- 1 kg potatoes
- 250 gram rutabaga
- some fresh chives
- 100 ml milk
- 3 cloves
- 1 clove of garlic (crushed)
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Boil the potatoes and rutabaga with salt for 15-20 minutes. Drain and let it steam for a couple minutes.
- In another pan combine milk, cloves and the crushed garlic on med/high to a quick boil and set it aside. Take out the cloves and garlic.
- Pour the milk over the potatoes and rutabaga and mash it. Add chopped chives and salt and pepper to taste. Mix the unsalted butter through the mashed potatoes and rutabaga.
